9. Wensleydale/Paper Piecing - Taught by Laurel Workman - THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Join us in learning how to do complicated piecing in a simple and extremely accurate fashion. We will be learning the skill of paper piecing—sewing fabric onto paper--using the beautiful block from the Jen Kingwell Wensleydale quilt from her book Quilt Recipes. In the book Jen uses the method of hand cutting each fabric piece using a template and hand stitching the block together. We will use the simpler method of using scraps of fabric and paper piecing by machine.
Whether you are already a pro at paper piecing, or new to the method, this class is for you. Learn how to convert this quilt into this easier method. I will have all of the cutting information worked out for you! This fun quilt is wonderful for all fabric types. We can have so much fun making blocks in class!
Even if you are not interested in making this quilt, you are welcome to come join us to learn the skill of Paper Piecing.
