Ok quilters!  Are you ready?  Ready for a 2nd edition of our most popular book?  We've been slaving updating quilts, making new quilts, drawing diagrams, and just making our Piece of Pie book better!

Here's your chance to give your input as to anything that we should include.  I condensed a couple of pages and have 2 pages that need to be filled in.  Should we include:

1.  A simple quiltmaking lesson on how to finish the quilt (sewing back together, binding etc.)

2.  Another pattern...perhaps?  (This would mean that I would have to work some more :0)  But that's ok.

3.  Or something else that you can think of.

Put in your votes now.  We want to make it what our customers want.

We are excited to announce an upcoming event!  At International Spring Quilt Market (which is held in Salt Lake City this year...yay!) we will be participating in a event called: All Dolled Up in Salt Lake City.  Local designers (from Utah) have joined efforts to bring you the cutest paper doll quilt...for free! 

Each designer 'dressed up' their own doll and created one block to be put in a quilt.  The quilts will be on display at Market in the Riley Blake Designs booths.  If you are so lucky to be able to come to Market, please stop by aisle 3 to check them out!  Then, each designer will be displaying her block in her own booth so you can see who made each one! 

Now, the clincher... Amanda Herring from The Quilted Fish is compiling all of the patterns which will be available for download from a darling blog that she designed.

Hey everybody!

We're pleased to announce our 3rd annual Super Spring Quilt Retreat.  We are offering 22 WONDERFUL classes from 11 WONDERFUL teachers.

The retreat will be held at Fairview Retreat & Reunion in Fairview, Utah on Wednesday, April 6 - Saturday, April 9, 2011.  You can come and stay with us, or just come for the day and take classes.  As an added bonus, we are offering classes at 10:00 p.m. each night as part of our Midnight Madness with only a small fee for the supplies.

Come one, come all!  Tell your friends!  We've put a lot of effort into making our retreats fun, informative and special.

Pie Plate Patterns' website has a new function - a newsletter subscription!  We plan to send out newsletters when we have retreat information and also when we have new products available.  (I've been meaning to do it for some time now...but you know how that goes sometimes.)  Anywhoo...it's up and running and you can subscribe by clicking on Newsletter on the left-hand side of the screen.  We hope this will be very useful for those who want to be notified of fun stuff coming up!!

The Autumn Book is off to the printer!  We should be heading up north with a BIG truck to pick them up either Friday, the 27th or Monday the 30th.  I think of all of the books, this just might be my favorite.  Of course, I LOVE Autumntime!! so I might be a little prejudiced.

We've been working on this Seasonal series for so long now, that we're not quite sure what to do with ourselves now.  I think I might start a new project :0)  If any of you that own shops have suggestions for our next project (something that your customers need), we are certainly open to suggestions.  Here are some ideas that we have:  Boy quilts, Row & Collage Quilts, Block of the Month booklets, Brenda's Beginner Class Book, another Layer Cake Friendly book.  Those are the ideas in the brain right now.  Leave us some feedback.  We want to supply products that are needed and wanted.
